Our speaker for this year's YAR theme of Reclamation: Bringing Faith to Culture is Pastor Laura Baumgartner!
Laura serves as the Associate Pastor at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Bellevue, WA. After teaching high school chemistry for many years, Laura attended seminary at Seattle University and is in her first appointment at Aldersgate. Laura has lived in eight states from California to Massachusetts but now has settled in Seattle where she lives with her husband and 15 year old daughter.
She is looking forward to participating in the Young Adult Retreat this year and sharing stories from Scripture highlighting various characters whose faith informed how they engaged their culture and exploring some options for our own cultural engagement as well. Laura loves to bake, walk, make collage, and ring handbells.
