October  19-21

(for youth leaders and volunteers)

Cost: $95 per person if registered by October 1st, $110 at the door or late registration.

Keynote Speaker Mike Jacobs. Mike is the Youth Pastor at Calvary Rathdrum and will be leading sessions exploring scripture and relating it to this fun and unique ministry.

Often Youth Ministry is seen as a stepping stone to "bigger and better things" in our congregations. It is the goal of this event to Elevate your ministry to a place of importance. Why do most youth pastors/directors/leaders only stay in their jobs for an average of 18 months? Why isn't Youth Ministry seen as a career goal for more people? Why is it that often our youth groups dwindle in sizes while others thrive? Why are youth workers overworked and underpaid, overlooked and underappreciated? It is these things and more we hope to examine in this weekend of fellowship and growth.

Enjoy worshiping, networking, learning, and of course playing with other youth leaders. This is not a relaxing retreat but rather a workshop and intensive training event to bring your ministry to a new level. Open to adults, volunteers, and paid staff members who work with youth in their United Methodist or other Christian church. This event will start Thursday evening at 5pm and continue until Saturday morning ending at 11 am, so you have time to travel back for church on Sunday. We have a fluid schedule of speakers, learning from each other, and networking.

Twinlow will serve meals Thursday Dinner-Saturday Breakfast and provide lodging in Selkirk and the Retreat Center.
